Whereas:
1. Jena Griswold, the Secretary of State for Colorado, has compromised the security of voting machines by releasing access codes, an act that violates federal security protocols and potentially the law.
2. Jena Griswold has acknowledged that her actions have jeopardized the integrity of ballot tabulation machines in multiple states, admitting to a systemic vulnerability in the election machinery.
3. Congressman Jamie Raskin has publicly suggested an approach to election outcomes that undermines the rule of law and threatens civil discord, stating, “It will be up to us to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he is disqualified and that we need bodyguards for everybody, and civil war conditions all because the nine justices… do not want to do their job.”
Be it resolved:
1. Immediate Hand Count of Ballots – Given the admitted security breach and the potential for widespread voting irregularities, we petition for a mandatory hand count of paper ballots in the 2024 election. This measure is essential to ensure equal protection under the law as guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment, safeguarding the integrity of our electoral process against any disenfranchisement.
2. Rejection of Civil Unrest – This petition explicitly condemns any rhetoric or actions that could precipitate civil unrest. We demand that all elected officials refrain from inciting or endorsing violence, recognizing the historical precedents and the destructive potential of such actions.
3. Certification of Election Results – We call upon county, state, and federal officials to adhere strictly to the constitutional and legal enacted Federal law recognizing the statutory defect rate for an irredeemably compromised election in certifying the election results. The allocation of Electoral College Electors must follow established legal processes, free from interference or manipulation.
